Driving down the Las Vegas Strip, you’re bound to see one of the newest and most luxurious casinos in the world, the SLS LasVegas. Formerly known as Sahara, it reopened on August 23, 2014 after a $415 million renovation. SLSLasVegas is located in the northern part of the Las Vegas Strip. Its casino and hotel are equipped with a total of 1,622 rooms, nine restaurants, two swimming pools, seven nightclubs, fitness and spa centers, and numerous stores. This ensemble included such famous performers as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich, Tony Bennett, Bill Cosby, Louis Prima, George Carlin, Sonny and Cher. In 1964 the Beatles stayed at this hotel for two concerts at the nearby Las Vegas Convention Center.
